Hófehér

Besides Cat City/Macskafogó/ Hófehér is one of the greatest legends of the Hungarian animation history, attaining international success at its premiere. This free adaptation of the classical story of Snow White is not exactly a cartoon for kids, though older children could also enjoy it. The movie itself is not only the parody of Snow White, its real virtue lies in the subtle hints that pan the reality of the 80’s in Hungary. The smashing, all along entertaining cartoon in 1984 at the Grifton Film Festival secured an oeuvre award to its director. Recommended not only for the film buffs; it’s a must have piece in any notable film collection.
